
With 96 percent of its restaurants staying open last Labor Day, San Antonio ranks as the U.S. city with the highest number of food service businesses open on the federal holiday, according to data from credit card reader company Square Inc. Brooklyn was second with 89 percent and Sacramento third with 85 percent.
Given that San Antonio still sees plenty of tourism and convention traffic this time of year, the
Phoenix is the city where the most restaurants are closed for the federal holiday. More than half shut their doors last year.
