Orchestral rock group Montopolis turns west Texas tales into song in this concert inspired by Big Bend National Park. The performance weaves science, history, poetry and personal stories into music inspired by the land and the people that have walked upon it. The music and story are accompanied by a breathtaking video that captures the epic grandeur of the vast high desert wilderness. Montopolis combines country, folk, and rock styles into modern classical arrangements the Austin Chronicle has called "stunning" and "transcendent". The musicians include members of the Austin Symphony, Okkervil River, The Polyphonic Spree and the Tosca String Quartet.
