Classical Music Events in San Antonio

UTSA School of Music will welcome Grammy-winning classical guitar virtuoso David Russell to the UTSA Recital Hall April 20th at 7:30 PM for a concert featuring his 2024 USA program. The pieces on his program are from well-known Spanish composers like J. Broca’s Pensamiento Espanol, Bendetto Marcello’s Sonata, and F. Moreno Torroba’s Castillos de España. Russell will also present a classical guitar arrangement of J.S. Bach’s Flute Sonata in E minor, BWV 1034. Alongside the performance, a slideshow presentation will give audiences beautiful depictions of these places to accompany the music they will hear. Admission is free. (210) 458-4354

It’s a Zoo in Here! The YOSA Philharmonic presents an exciting night of music in "Wildlife Harmonies.” Experience the highly anticipated world premiere of Beasts and Birds of Bexar, composed by members of the Composers Alliance of San Antonio (CASA) and inspired by animals at San Antonio Zoo.
