Mir fehlen einfach die Berge (I Am Simply Missing the Mountains) is an exhibition by three young German artists Anna Bläser, Veronica Moroder and Lukas Picard. The works selected and developed for the Terminal 136 gallery, incorporate thoughts on both real and imaginary journeys and places. Orchestral rock group Montopolis turns west Texas tales into song in this concert inspired by Big Bend National Park. The performance weaves science, history, poetry and personal stories into music inspired by the land and the people that have walked upon it. The music and story are accompanied by a breathtaking video that captures the epic grandeur of the vast high desert wilderness. Montopolis combines country, folk, and rock styles into modern classical arrangements the Austin Chronicle has called "stunning" and "transcendent". The musicians include members of the Austin Symphony, Okkervil River, The Polyphonic Spree and the Tosca String Quartet.

Kellen Stanley's solo show, "Rite of Passage," will open on Thursday 6/6 at 7-8:30 PM, with the artist activating the installation in a durational performance. The body of work is text-based and features poetry depicting the artist's mother who once was a painter before switching career tracks to education. The performance will reveal the installation of poetry one line at a time much like excavating an archaeological site. (210) 872-2586
