Rise Bakery and Cafe is a local bakery, specializing in seasonal, artisan baking. All our baked goods are made from scratch, on premises. We also offer a full espresso bar, delicious milkshakes and ice cold smoothies. Lunch and dinner options include Panini on our house made bread and salads.
Rita's on the River occupies the space that was once Presidio's. Though the new restaurant does not have the same elegant interior of Presidio's, prices are better. The cuisine ranges from a $4.95 burger to a $23.75 South Padre platter with skewers of sirloin and shrimp.

This place has an entire White Pizza section on the menu, but overall serves a more Americanized style of pizza. Good flavor, and nice Mediterranean sides such as domas and hummus. -- Burgin Streetman, 01/08
As the name implies, Rome's replaces the tomato sauce on the Pesto Street with a light, basil-tinged, pesto base, topped with a hearty layer of melted mozzarella, artichoke hearts, calamata olives, and sliced tomatoes. - Alejandro Perez
