Toronto based noise-punk band Metz creates beautiful, discordant gut-punch of nature music in a way that you'll get to feel it in your toes (and your probably-already-damaged eardrums). And lucky for you, they're headed to Paper Tiger on Thursday, October 4.

In 2012, the New Yorker called Sub-Pop trio Metz' debut “a punishing, noisy, exhilarating thing.” This time around, Alex Edkins, Hayden Menzies and Chris Slorach will tour in support of their highly anticipated third full length Strange Peace, a piercing yet detailed seesawing journey across sound. The album is a slight departure from the unrelenting noise and repetition of their previous work. The album possesses a lightly honeyed, almost melodic softness while still maintaining the bands winning chipped teeth.

In discipline, it’s a lot like watching a performance by a world class prima ballerina: perfectly measured, intricate while being hard as hell and with skin callusing twists and turns. Prepare your ears if you must because this show is going to be sick.

Tickets ($15) go on sale Friday, July, 13th and can be purchased at papertigersatx.com.
