Margarita Throwdown Pits Chef Johnny Hernandez's Restaurants Against Each Other

Chef Johnny Hernandez is hosting his second annual Margarita Throwdown at his prized La Gloria at the Dominion later this month.

After realizing he needed to update his menu, Hernandez challenged five of his restaurants to create the tastiest margarita, said La Gloria representative Francisco Venegas.

The Fruteria, Burgerteca, Villa Rica and La Gloria’s Dominion and Pearl locations will see who has the best margs on Sunday, August 19. The throwdown will occur roughly five months after Hernandez’s last competition tested his restaurant’s micheladas.

Guests will sample margaritas from all five restaurants as well as enjoy two tacos for only $20. At the end of the night, attendees will receive two tickets to vote for their favorites.
