The now-viral story of a San Antonio mother being her son's wingman while shopping at H-E-B now has a new chapter.

On Monday, Charisma Valdez, a student at the University of Texas at San Antonio, took to Twitter to look for a fellow Roadrunner on campus.
Her search for "Cody" came after she and some friends struck up a conversation with a woman while shopping at H-E-B. The mother began talking up her son in order find him a girlfriend, or at least a date. "Cody" was found after the tweet went viral, gaining more than 62,000 likes and 4,000 retweets.
Friends on Twitter shared the tweet with Codey Gonzalez, who didn't have an account at the time. Valdez and Gonzalez were able to connect on Snapchat, and apparently have hit it off.

On Thursday, Valdez shared a photo of she and Gonzalez, saying it was the update that Twitter users invested in the story were waiting for.
The pair both tweeted (Gonzalez made an account following the story going viral) that they were excited for the date beforehand. Most recently, Valdez said the two are planning a second date.
Valdez and Gonzalez have plenty of people rooting them on, making jokes, or both. Now that's what you call a puro San Antonio love story.
