We understand that adopting is not an option for everyone and that is why our foster program is so easy. Foster families help us save lives EVERY DAY. Fosters provide love and shelter and SAPA! provides medical care, marketing support and weekly adoption events so there are plenty of opportunities to find good homes. Fostering is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. To save a pet's life, nurture it and unite it with a loving forever family is a wonderful journey that we hope more people can experience. Foster families are KEY to saving lives and helping San Antonio become the largest No-Kill city in the US. We are getting closer with every rescue. Get started by filling out a Foster Application.

Dog of the Week- HUNK
Hunk ID# 242842 is a handsome 2 yr old American Staffordshire. He loves people and is crate trained. Hunk is extremely picky with his doggie friends though. If he can't be the one and only dog for you, we require a meet and greet with any existing dogs to make sure they will get along. Come down to the SAPA! kennels and meet this Hunk!
Cat of the Week- MONGOOSE
Mongoose # A#243502 is a male grey tabby who is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and is super fun and playful. He gets along great with other cats and kids. Not sure about dogs yet. He is about a year old and would be a great addition to a loving family.
