“The chicken is lousy.” With those words I learned the importance of being an honest, forthright, deliberate and unapologetic communicator. We are definitely no longer talking about chicken. My mom recognized she had a problem, she could have ignored it, lied about it or fooled herself into thinking the meal was without it’s issues. Sometimes ignoring, lying and fooling come the easiest, but in the long run, the risk is that we slowly lose ourselves in keeping up with the charade.
So that is where I get it from, I am unabashedly straightforward yet completely sincere. And that is why I am here, bring me your troubles where ignorance, lies or foolery just won’t cut it.
