1. Beer The Ten Eleven is a craft beer haven masked as a dive bar. Featuring local, national, import and rare brews, The Ten Eleven has everything a beer connoisseur could want. It’s also not uncommon for a travelling band to roll through with a case or two of beer they picked up along their travels, all for your palette pleasure.

Location The Riverwalk may not be the first thought for a good time for locals, but the increasingly populated Museum Reach of the Riverwalk features art installations, alluring fauna and limited tourists. The Ten Eleven’s outdoor patio area is a brilliant respite between sets, and it’s goddamn gorgeous by night. Photo by Steven Gilmore 3. Music Home to many touring and local bands alike, The Ten Eleven is one of the most consistently viable showcases of quality music in the city. A solemn stroll into the bar one night could bring a revered national act passing through, while the next could be an open mic night. It’s rare to leave disappointed. Photo by M.R. Brown 4. Graffiti Even after the recent resurfacing of the bar’s street-facing façade, much of the building’s walls are still lined with some of the most impressive street art in the downtown area. From elaborate tags to Sharpie-wielding youths, quality graffiti is not only allowed, it’s encouraged. The building is home to much more art than the music buried inside its four walls. 5. Price From its door prices to its beer, The Ten Eleven won’t shake your wallet for a good time. The bar is one of the few places you’ll find the balance of quality beer for fair prices in the area. A downtown night of $2 beers that don’t read Budweiser, Coors or Miller on the bottle? Sounds like an easy choice to me. And if you live at the 1221 Lofts up the street, you’re a neighbor and any night’s cover is optional (so you have no excuse to not show your beautiful mug around here more often!)
