To celebrate, I visited Johnny Hernandez's The Fruteria for a premium tequila shot. I chose one of the botanero's most popular shots, Herradura's Añejo, $11. The Fruteria carries more than 45 tequilas, available in blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo/ultra premium varieties; there are also nine varieties of tequila's cousin, mezcal, to choose from. Individual shots range from $6 to the $52 Partida Elegante shot (try it if you're feeling valiente).
Get it dressed or without the kosher salt and fresh lime wedge, that's up to you. Regardless, celebrate our new launch and visit The Fruteria to kick off your weekend the right way.
