Alton Brown, author, actor, chef, and t.v personality will be touring across the nation and will visit Austin on January 29, 2014. Tickets are now on sale.
For those of you who don't know who Alton Brown is, he is royalty of all things food and media.
He will be touring through 40 cities across the U.S, and will be in Austin at 8p.m. January 29, 2014 in Austin City Limits Live, 310 Willie Nelson Blvd.
Brown will preform live music, demonstrate extreme food experimentation, present a media lecture, talk about talk show antics, and lay down some comedy during his show.
Tickets are on sale now ranging from $39 to $79.
Brown was a commentator of "Iron Chef America" for 11 seasons, and hosted "The Next Iron Chef" for five. In 2012, he joined the "Food Network Star" where he will be appearing on the show's ninth season. Brown also wrote, produced and hosted "Good Eats" which aired for 13 years on Food Network, and won the Peabody Award, (an award for best electronic media.)
“I've been cultivating material for this show for about a decade, so it'll feel pretty darned good to finally get it out of my head and onto a stage. We've come up with some pretty amazing food demonstrations and multi-media segments,” Brown said.
However, I don't think Brown thought a few cities from Texas, aside from Austin would have loved to see his cultivating material, like San Antonio for example!
I get Austin is only about an hour away, but really? Not S.A town?
San Antonio is among the fattest cities in the nation, wouldn't that be a hint that we like food... and chefs! Chefs like Alton Brown!
I mean, if there was an extreme food experiment wouldn't you think foodies like me will pay good money for exploding food to land on to of them?
Anyway, just a thought.
