As bennytheriv explains, making pet rocks was the topic of his application essay to the school. The school admissions committee was charmed, and they painted this personalized pet rock to add to his collection. The Redditor posted a photo of his newest addition as well as his acceptance letter. It just goes to show that a bit of personality in the college admissions process goes a long way.
