First Course Fodder: Seasonal Items at Salata, Ranger Creek Beer Dinner and Dishcrawl

Salata (11075 IH 10) is rolling out new seasonal items for their menu. Kale, asparagus, green beans and zucchini have been added to the lineup of fresh ingredients to the salad bar. The spring layout for salads and wraps will be available now through May 16.

Hey beer lovers, Ranger Creek Brewing a Distilling (4834 Whirlwind) will have a beer dinner at La Cantera (15900 La Cantera) on Saturday, April 5. The dinner is four courses of spring berry brined quail legs, curried coconut goat ragout, center cut coffee-rubbed beef ribs and chocolate and spring figs all paired with a Ranger Creek beer. A reception will start at 6:30 p.m. with the dinner at 7 p.m. The dinner is $45 per person. Call (210) 558-2439 for reservations.

Calling all foodies. It’s Dishcrawl at The Pearl (303 Pearl) Tuesday, April 8 at 7 p.m. Willing participants will visit three restaurants in The Pearl and sample three different plates from each chef. The restaurants are a secret for now, but hints will be given on Dishcrawl San Antonio’s twitter. Tickets are $45 per person, but that doesn’t include drinks.
