Another of SA's chefs is about to get his 15-minutes on the Food Network this summer. Chef Luca Della Casa of both Silos and Nosh is one of 12 finalists for season 10 of Next Food Network Star, which premieres Sunday, June 1 at 8 p.m.
In advance of the show's premiere, Della Casa will stop by Gaucho Gourmet (935 Isom) on Saturday, May 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for an "Italian Tasting Extravaganza" where guests can sample the chef's favorite Italian appetizers and two risottos. Tickets ($10) can be purchased online at GauchoGourmet.com.
Or you can support the chef during two viewing parties of the episode at the Nosh on 1133 Austin Hwy, and Silo at 434 N Loop 1604 W, on Sunday, June 1 at 7 p.m. The restaurants will feature a special event menu and full bar.
