Re: “A routine job, a routine execution,” March 21-27

If Gutierrez has no remorse for his crime and is not claiming he is innocent, what point are you and the Current trying to make by publishing this interview? But I think that if you decide to devote an article about Gutierrez, you owe it to your readers (and the Cobo family) to justify that article. That is, what is the editorial value of interviewing a self-confessed killer?

Jose Gutierrez, San Antonio (no relation)

Please explain to me what the point was of the article on Vincent Gutierrez. The man is a low-life who has done nothing with his life except leach off other people and society and cause damage to innocent people. He is getting what is coming to him, and good ridance to bad rubish.

The Fruit Of The Tree

I am Vincent’s father and long story short he was and is a bit of what I am . A little bit confused here and there for not learning from past mistakes. Hatred for not forgiving others who had done us wrong. The abusing of the little liberty that God has given us all. Father God forgive us all for we know not what we do! I ask the forgiveness of Captain Cobo’s family and may they all find comfort and closure when this day is over. I wish them all a better future. God bless them all. Amen

Just another S.A. Story.

To: Jose, Flaco, and all the homeboys from our generation who have passed on to the next life. In loving memory I will continue to live, cherish, and appreciate a life that neither of you will have the opportunity to fulfill.

Much Love,
