While the kids watch the Last Chance Forever raptor show (1:30 p.m.), you can unload the monitor and TV on Corona Visions for $15 and $20 respectively (It costs money because CV keeps the hazardous leftovers out of landfills and third-world dumping grounds). The San Antonio Herb Society will be hawking its specimens, but save room in your garden or windowsill containers, because the 16th annual San Antonio Herb Market spreads the good seed at Aggie Park (West Avenue and Loop 410) Saturday, October 21. The event features members of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Go Texan program, and a chef will demonstrate the versatility of the 2007 Herb of the Year: Lemon Balm, known in aromatherapy circles for inducing deep relaxation and euphoria.
