We’re not entirely sure, either, but check out Callie Enlow’s first-person account on’s CurBlog. As our latest roster add, Enlow’s diving headfirst into the wondrous, hostile world of online music coverage, so you can also read her review of Monday’s Cola-Cola show at Fl!ght Gallery. And be nice to this one — we want her to stick around awhile.

You, too, can get in on this whole local-music scene thing this week. Try Border Palace at Luna Live (8 p.m.; 6740 San Pedro;, Ernest Gonzales’s Flux at Nightrocker Live (11 p.m.; 605 San Pedro;, or Weatherbox and Stegosaur at the Ten Eleven (8 p.m.; 1011 Ave. B; on Wednesday; but Thursday, Friday, and Saturday belong to the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s 29th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival (see page 35 for more information). Eddie Money ( will just have to wait, and New Braunfels’ First Annual Chili & Rockabilly Hot Rod Bash ( can totally suck it.
