Horrorpops, Beat Union, & 7 Shot Screamers

Release Date: 2008-10-22

Just in time for All Hallows Eve, Copenhagen-born, Los Angeles-based trio HorrorPops bring their poppy, new-wave, psychobilly extravaganza to the White Rabbit on October 26. Swelling to a quintet for live shows, they’ll be accompanied by ghoulish go-go dancers Tweek and Rita-tah, who should accent bassist-vocalist Patricia Day’s lascivious, badass glory with sprinkles of glee and fishnets.

From this year’s Kiss Kiss Kill Kill, the frisky “Missfit” highlights Day’s outspoken femininity while shoving a finger in the face of challengers. Tipping a melodic hat to Madness’s “Our House,” Day taunts, “My fist — in the middle of your face.” Every HorrorPops concert is a spectacle, and proximity to Halloween will only bolster the insanity. The go-go dancers alone should be enough to pull you out of your dank apartment. $14, all ages, 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, the White Rabbit, 2410 N. St. Mary’s,
