Recycle your women's day march sign and help Planned Parenthood

I've been telling my friends for days that on Feb. 18th, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to bar Planned Parenthood from all federal funding for any purpose whatsoever, including exams and birth control. How is this possible? Planned Parenthood provides life-saving medical services to millions, including HIV testing and breast and cervical cancer screenings. They state on their website that they have never faced this kind of attack in their 95-year history.

Many years ago, I had my annual exams performed at Planned Parenthood at a very low cost, and at the time I was extremely grateful for the accessibility of their services. This act of taking away federal funding from them is just insane! There is an online petition that only takes seconds to sign. If you prefer a locally homegrown, guerilla approach, luckily a few smart people in San Antonio are going to do something about it.

On Tuesday, March 8th at 6:00pm, you can stand in solidarity for Planned Parenthood by attending an emergency action rally in front of their location at 104 Babcock Rd. Bring signs. Bring instruments and water. But especially, bring patience and confidence, because pro-lifers will be there too. Tuesday marks the beginning of lent, and pro-life protesters will be outside of Planned Parenthood locations on a 24-hour, 40 day vigil. There needs to be that kind of dedication on the Pro-Planned Parenthood side in order to block the Senate from advancing this terrible, life threatening legislation.

Money helps too. If you have any to spare, making a donation to Planned Parenthood would be a really great Easter present to me. Thanks y'all. See you on Tuesday! Stop Teen Mom 3. Viva la Revolucíon!
