Look out for Girl Scouts — cookie season has begun!

Loosen your belts by a couple notches, folks, because cookie season has officially begun.

Over one million boxes of Girl Scout cookies are arriving in San Antonio today. Cookie orders were placed early last month, and those of you who ordered boxes on boxes of delectable Thin Mints, caramel and coconut-covered Samoas, and peanut buttery and chocolate-y Tagalongs are about to be rewarded for your patience. Expect your cookie cravings to be quelled quite soon.

Cookie season lasts from February 4 to March 15, during which time anyone with a sweet tooth should keep their eyes peeled for those lovely little girls in green. Better yet, instead of hunting around town for the scouts, why not try out their new mobile app, Cookie Finder? Or you can enter your zip code into girlscoutcookies.org to find all the Dosidos nearest you. The Girl Scouts have made it easier than ever to help you find them and their multicolored boxes of sugary joy. Bless you, girls.

Those little salesgirls understand that they’ve got just what you need, cookie fiends. In fact, they’ve got even more this year.

Girl Scouts have added two new flavors to their cookie lineup for 2015: Rah-rah Raisins, a classic oatmeal raisin cookie with a Greek yogurt twist, and Toffee-tastic, the first-ever gluten-free option available to Girl Scout cookie buyers. Toffee-tastic is a buttery cookie filled with crunchy toffee bits, and Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas is one of the only councils in the US that’s offering this new cookie. Grab a box while you can, because who knows if Toffee-tastic will return for next year’s cookie season.

Cookies are $3.50 a box, and all proceeds go toward funding leadership opportunities for Girl Scouts. For more information, visit girlscouts.org.
