Hecho a Mano event

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is seeking artists for its 29th annual Hecho a Mano event this December. The three-day shopping event held at Galería Guadalupe offers visitors a glimpse of work by local artists and craftspeople, who sell unique handmade goods ranging from art, jewelry and decorative items.

Mark Anthony Martinez, a visual arts director for The Guadalupe, sees Hecho a Mano as a great way to bring some of the best artisans and craftspeople from around town and internationally to come together to show off their work.

"It’s a great way to promote local artists and crafters," said Martinez.

The art displayed at Hecho a Mano can only be of the highest quality of both contemporary and traditional styles. To maintain that level of quality The Guadalupe holds a juried competition, and deadlines for submissions are this October 23.

The opening reception to Hecho a Mano is December 4 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $15 and artists featured at the event get two complimentary tickets to the show.
