Isn't he dreamy?
The swamp rocker de résistance will be headlining the beautiful Majestic Theatre on Thursday, May 12.

Known for his uncanny ability to transport the listener to the muddy swamps and cotton fields of the American South, Fogerty was the primary songwriter, lead guitarist and vocalist for Creedence Clearwater Revival. He secured his place in the pages of rock 'n' roll history with his distinctive wail, an iconic instrument in its own right, and soaring, humid-sticky numbers including "Proud Mary," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Fortunate Son," "Looking Out My Backdoor," and "Bad Moon Rising," to name but a few.

With the release of 1985's Centerfield, Fogerty reminded the world that time and modernized production techniques couldn't dull his razor-sharp mind for melody, groove and soul. Including hits "The Old Man Down the Road," "Centerfield," "Rock and Roll Girls," and the über-hip "Vanz Kant Danz," Fogerty proved that he still had it.

Unfortunately for Fogerty, due to a predatory recording contract with Fantasy Records, for much of his career he was unable to perform many of his own hits. However, now that he is no longer held to the contract, none of his classic tunes are off-limits, making this show one for the history books.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 18 at 10am. They are priced from $50-$100 and can be obtained from the Majestic Theatre box office, ticketmaster.com, or 800-745-3000.
