Poster for Imagine Fest
"Imagine there's no shitty music/It's easy if you try/No auto-tune below us/Above us only raw emotion/Imagine all the bands/Living for today." You get the idea.
And, no, Imagine Fest isn't a John Lennon tribute night. Actually, it's much better than a bunch 0f musicians
covering the slain
Beatle's
music 'cause it'll be seven nights chock full of local bands and a just sprinkle of national artists at Imagine Books and Records, the "Loudest Bookstore in Texas."
As the inaugural
festival for one of SA's favorite (and only) book and record store to also host live music - kind of like our personal Ameoba and Waterloo - Imagine Books and Records is pulling no punches, featuring a total of 35 bands.
Seven is a pretty sweet number to begin with - 7-Eleven, 007, seven dwarves, seven deadly sins, etc. - and it's even sweeter with seven shows, seven days and $7 for each night.
The bands appear in order from time and day, with all shows starting at 7pm (duh) and ending at midnight:
