Nectar Wine Bar and Ale House is located at 214 Broadway at Travis. They are conveniently located 2 blocks from the Alamo and the Riverwalk and 3 Blocks from the Tobin Center and Majestic Theater.
They are a wine bar in the classic sense. The same style as you will find throughout the rest of the world. They specialize in great wine at a low price. They also have a great meat and cheese menu that they serve while open.
They are open Sunday for Brunch 11-3 and stay open until 6pm. Mondays they are open 2-10pm and Tuesday – Saturday 2-Midnight.
The interior is eclectic-chic. Bright blue and pink chairs accent tables that are made of barn doors that are over 100 years old. The chandeliers hang right next to the industrial spiral rimmed HVAC tubes.
They focus on incredible meats and cheeses but that is not all they have on their menu. It is a wide variety from pizzas that are made with Pita bread crusts and Shrimp stacked on top of a small salad and served on toast points to almond encrusted Brie served hot out of the oven and drizzled with Amarena
cherries.
They love to have a great time there with their Tuesday Night Wine-O Bingo, Wednesday Night Free Wine Tastings and Thursday Nights that are artistic and cultural based like fashion shows and art exhibits.
