Fans of Chocollazo Chocolate Trolley will be pumped to know that the popular food trailer now has a brick-and-mortar home to call its own at the Boardwalk on Broadway at 4013 Broadway. Chocollazo was previously featured in an episode of Cooking Channel's Eat St.

Housed inside a former hair salon, Chocollazo's new location is just over 1,000 square-feet of sweet goodness enveloped in a bright white boutique feel. There's a small seating area, a wall's worth of assorted candies (there's a gummy rat and a gummy personal-size pizza among other things), a Häagen-Dazs ice cream case, truffle case and baked dessert display.

The truffle case features truck favorites including the bacon-German chocolate truffle, caramel macchiato, homemade marshmallow and lemon white chocolate. The dessert case features all of chocolatier Mary Collazo's truck recipes with presentation upgrades by the shop's new pastry chef. You'll find all manners of chocolate-dipped pretzels and cookies, but a new highlight is the addition of dark, white and milk chocolate bars (featured above), with names like "Grin & Bear It" (dotted with gummy bears), "With a Grain of Salt" (dotted with sea salt flakes), and "Feeling Chipper" (dotted with crushed potato chips).

Though the shop, owned by husband and wife team Frank and Mary Collazo, is still sorting out its soft opening hours, they will host a grand opening on Saturday, August 14 complete with a DJ. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for specific hours.
