The
6-week-old baby who was missing after her mother was found stabbed to death in their northeast Houston apartment has been found.

An Amber Alert for Shamali, including a description of her father Marcos Mariano Thomas Palacios' car, was issued on Tuesday night. Police initially considered Palacios to be a person of interest, but when he was was located in San Antonio on Wednesday, Shamali was not with him.
Shamali’s mother, 33-year-old Carolina Flores, was found dead in her apartment on Tuesday morning with multiple stab wounds.
Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said Shamali’s disappearance was consistent with cases in which a baby is abducted by a woman who has recently lost her own child, and that the person responsible for the killing was familiar with Flores’ apartment complex, the
Houston Chronicle reported.
