Picks Bar Rockin' Live Music 7 Nights a Week

Picks Bar, located off of 1604 on the Northside of San Antonio, is going to be celebrating its third anniversary this April. The bar is fully equipped for music lovers, sporting ample dance space, patio TV’s to watch the shows, table service, and killer happy hour discounts. In addition, Picks has featured live music every night of the week since their opening in 2015.

Mondays the music focused bar features Live Band Karaoke which isn’t done very often in San Antonio- and certainly not on a weekly basis. The live band includes players on the bass, guitar, piano, and even a backup singer. Every six weeks the bar even has a karaoke competition, with the first place winner receiving $250 and other prizes for second and third place.

Music doesn’t stop there – Tuesday nights at Picks are made for rock fans. Wednesdays for tribute fans, and then Thursday thru Friday the bar has live bands performing the 80’s, 90’s and top 40 dance music hits. The groups that perform vary- from San Antonio locals to neighboring groups from Austin, Houston, and some as far north as Dallas will come down to perform in the popular venue.
As if the entertainment wasn’t enough, the happy hour that the bar runs is a killer deal. Monday thru Sunday from 4PM to 8PM you can imbibe in the great drink specials ($2.75 domestics, $4 wells, $5 martinis and wine) and indulge in a free nacho bar. It’s the perfect time to stop in, order a couple of drinks and grab a bite to eat before the DJ (starts at 8pm) and musical headliners come on (10pm). The bar has daily specials too- so if you stay after you can still score a discount.

Thursday and Friday nights the deal is even with a Social Hour deal that runs from 5PM to 9PM. During Social Hour grab a Michelob Ultra, Margarita or Sangria for only $1.00.

To close out the week, Picks has another edition of Live Band Karaoke from 4:30-8:30 and then an acoustic act that starts at 10pm every Sunday. You can qualify for the Karaoke contest on Sunday and Monday. Make sure to arrive early for Karaoke as the list fills up quickly.
