If you’ve never had the refined pleasure of enjoying a concert in the friendly confines of Wolverton Home Concerts’ house venue, then you have been missing out — and there’s precious little time left to amend your ways. The cozy venue has been hosting small and splendid concerts (they never call them “shows,” because it’s all about the music and the togetherness) for years now. But, with Hills Snyder and his wife, the folks who live in the house and run the venue, moving out of town sometime next year, Wolverton’s sweet run as probably our finest listening room-type DIY venue is coming to an end. In what will be one of the last concerts it hosts, Wolverton has invited local writer/arts critic Neil Fauerso to curate. The lineup he’s put together will feature singer-songwriters Sam Gendel, Jesse Jenkins (founding member of ATX band Pure X), Paul Fauerso and Joe Reyes, all of whom operate within the spectrum of experimental (more or less) folk/rock music. You can expect, as is Wolverton tradition, that there will be solo sets as well as opportunities for easy-going collaboration. Email
