A Houston home that's been featured by CNN, the New York Times and TMZ because of its striking resemblance to Darth Vader's helmet is back on the market.
Constructed in 1992 by a surgeon who apparently wanted to take his Star Wars fandom to the next level, the 7,000-square-foot mansion is one of the city's most recognizable residential properties because of its architectural nod to a certain disciple of the Force's dark side.
After being sold in 2021, the distinctive property is back on the market with a $3.8 million price tag, according to a new listing.
Although the sales pitch describes the home as "mysteriously lurking in its striking dark slate and aluminum-clad armor," the interior is actually bright, open and airy.
Indeed, the sleek interior seems more appropriate for entertaining than plotting the domination of a galaxy far, far away. A pair of floating glass staircases provide a centerpiece to the large living area, and light floods in from numerous windows.
One word of warning: the four-car garage doesn't include a landing pad for a TIE fighter.
