This weekend, comic, toy, and game fans alike have a chance to unite this weekend at Alamo City Toy Show (ACTS) at the Freeman Coliseum April 26 and 27. The event is already touted as Texas’ Largest Toy Expo and a Mini Comic-con. Either way, San Antonians should not miss this event.

ACTS has a line-up of some recognizable guests, which is unlike any other toy expos in the nation, says Marie Watts, media contact for ACTS.

Guest include Larry Kenney, voice of Lion-O from Thundercats and “Sonny the Coco Bird” of Cocoa Puff cereal. Billy Madison and his co-hosts from 99.5 KISS-FM’s The Billy Madison Show will be there. Wrestling personality Sgt. Slaughter is scheduled as well.

“We will have the 501st Legion - a Star Wars fan group - that is really well known around the nation and internationally,” Watts says.

Of course, the expo promises a slew of cool stuff to buy and see. A variety of local artists, toy vendors, and video game collectors will show off and sell some their unique goods over the two-day long expo. Expect to see comic artists Chris Oz Fulton and Eddie Nunez.  Arcades4Home will have stand-up video game machines turned on, and ready to play.

Plus, a lot more.

Initially starting out as a single day, ACTS had to add a second day due to their growing list of artists and vendors. They expect between 2,000 to 3,000 visitors this weekend.
