Alamo Tricentennial Lecture Series-"Alamo Weaponry: on the Verge of Change"
In the decades leading up to the Texas Revolution, little had changed regarding firearm technology. Since the standard military firearm was the flintlock musket, during the siege of the Alamo men relied on their flintlocks to defend the mission. The lecture series will discuss the evolution of weaponry and it's effects during the historic 1836 battle.
