Alyse Black

Alyse Black started out belting Billie Holiday tunes a cappella on the streets of Pike Place Market. Since then, she's performed on Seattle's NPR station, recorded a commercial for Target, moved to Austin, won Billboard's Annual Songwriting Contest, and toured the country playing over 500 clubs, theaters, festivals, television shows and radio stations. Most recently, she won The Recording Conservatory of Austin's Top Singer-Songwriter Contest. Alyse Black's music is the intense, ballsy bare guts of Adele calmed by the soft and soothing lilt of Norah Jones with a splash of euphoric, pure Eva Cassidy soul. She stands accused of being an enchantress - of willfully beguiling, of defiantly creating a sumptuous and seductive world where every song sounds like falling in love.
