BJ "Hello! When I came to ADL they found out I had an ear infection, heartworms, and a chemical burn on my body. The ADL veterinarian team treated me immediately and I’m now doing so much better! I am clear of my ear infection, I’m currently going through heartworm treatment and my burns are quickly healing. Overall, I am a chill dog, especially when I’m in a car. I will sit patiently in the backseat and enjoy the ride. I like yummy treats and like most bulldogs will drool like mad for them. I even know how to sit for treats and I know I can learn more tricks. Nobody knows what I went through before I got here but I’m ready to leave the past behind me. I’m now looking forward to a bright future in a loving home of my own with someone who will love me forever."

Ronald I have a pretty unique look to me and I’m a sociable fella. In fact, I really like other dogs even if they don’t want anything to do with me! For that reason, I’d like to meet any potential fur-siblings to see how well we get along. I have tons of energy and I love to play but I also have a lover boy side where I’ll melt your heart cuddling. My cuddling can sometimes involve me resting my entire 50 pound body in your lap. I’m a well-rounded dog ready for my forever home especially if it has other dogs in it but no cats please!

I’m trying very hard because I want a new life in a forever home more than anything. I do what’s called “resource guarding” – I protect things like my food and toys and get angry when someone gets too close when I have them. I’m also uncomfortable being handled unless I’m the one who initiates it. I know good things wait on the other side, and with hard work on my part and patience and love on yours, I can be a wonderful dog again like I was before. Lloyd"No, I am not a bear, I’m just Lloyd the handsome chow chow mix. I was brought to ADL due to Hurricane Harvey and now I’m ready to find a forever home! My handsome bear-ish looks get me a lot of attention. Most people have the urge to give me a big ol’ hug because I look like a big cuddly bear, but please, take it easy with me! I am deaf and don’t have the best eye sight, so it’s very easy to startle me. I also prefer to not have my neck touched. It’s just not my thing! Since children like to hug, I prefer a home with no children. Overall, I am a friendly old man. I also enjoy slow strolls in the park and I like treats. I’m looking for a calm home where I can relax and be loved. I would probably be okay with a little dog sibling too, one who is as calm as me. Do you think you can be that special person for me? Then come by and visit me!"
