Margaret Craig's "Glutton for Color," an exhibition of scientific process-inspired multimedia creations at RC Gallery, closes on Saturday, March 22, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Craig delights in drawing attention to the microcosmic realm of the natural world, often drawing on her background in biology for stimulus. She also holds an MFA in printmaking from UTSA, and is currently the department chair of painting, drawing, and printmaking at the Southwest School of Art and Craft. On Saturday, March 29, an impressive roster of traditional and contemporary artists - including Jesse Treviño, Vincent Valdez, Adan Hernandez, Alex Rubio, Cesar Martinez, L.A. David, and Armando Sanchez - join together to celebrate the life and work of fallen Chicano activist Cesar Chavez. The event will take place at Gallista Gallery, painter Joe Lopez' studio and exhibition space, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., following the annual Cesar Chavez Memorial March.
