Palo Alto welcomes revered Mexican-American/Chicano artist, activist and playwright Luis Valdez for a discussion in conjunction with sits Heritage Month programming. Considered “the Godfather of Chicano Theater,” Valdez will speak about his work with El Teatro Campesino (a troupe he founded during his organizing work with the United Farmworkers Movement) as well as his mainstream success with Zoot Suit and La Bamba. Valdez's presentations take place in Ozuna 101, Legacy Room (12:30-2pm) and the Performing Arts Center (7-8:30pm).
