Arts Dancers and New-Age Cavemen

The world-renowned Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble joins the Carver Community Cultural Center, 226 N. Hackberry, for an exciting close to Black History Month. The performance will take place in the Carver’s Jo Long Theatre at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 25. The ensemble fuses African and modern dances, and can be enjoyed by young and old audiences. Tickets are $26, available through all Ticketmaster outlets and the Carver box office at 207-2234.

The combination of song and dance by Colorado-based Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble communicates human experience through performance.

In a one-night-only exhibition, The Cave Without a Name, 325 Kreutzberg Rd. in Boerne, features paintings by Brent Holbert, photography by Matt Steele, and sculpture by Ziranjie in an effort to establish the commercial cave as a unique art venue in Texas. The Origins Premise will be held from 2-10 p.m. Saturday, February 25, and is based on the idea that abstract forms in the natural formations in caves inspired the dawn of artistic expression.

The cave has lighted trails, huge rooms, and a subterranean river. It is usually $12 for visitors to view the cave, but the art show will be free. Call (888) TEX-CAVE for more information.
