Austin Baroque Orchestra Chamber Soloists present "Eine Kleine Kammermusik"

ABO closes their season with a rare performance of Romantic-era music on period instruments. There will be Beethoven from before he sounded like Beethoven, with his elegant Piano Quartet in C major, featuring a replica of a 1780 piano. We’ll follow that with a dazzling and quirky quintet by his childhood friend Antoine Reicha, and we’ll end with music by Louis Spohr, a virtuoso violinist and inventor of the violin chin rest, whose "Gran Nonetto" is a rarely-performed and virtuosic large chamber work for strings and winds that is a perfect blend of Classical balance and Romantic passion. The admission fee is: $25 for general admission, $20 for senior/military, $10 for young adults and $5 for students with an ID.
