Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals

Release Date: 2007-10-31

Recent months have marked a departure from previous work for Ben Harper. His new acoustic soul album, Lifeline, was recorded in Paris — Harper’s first time ever recording in The City of Light, and the first album he co-wrote with The Innocent Criminals. He’s always done his best to emphasize that he’s part of a band; that said, Harper and his longstanding combo are doing a bit of a different tour this go-round, playing a variety of theater shows that should be more of a sit-down, acoustic show, without departing from amplification completely. Harper and the IC most recently played for huge festival crowds at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo this summer. $40, 8pm, Majestic Theatre, 224 E. Houston,
(210) 224-9600.
