The Station Cafe, still known to many by its old name, The Filling Station, has delighted Alamo City sandwich lovers since 2006. Of the practically countless options, both hot and cold, a few crowd favorites include the turkey pastrami Reuben, jalapeño roast beef, “Turkey Chupacabra” with Serrano sauce, and the new cheesesteak. The bravest of diners choose “Pele’s Fire,” a roast beef with ghost pepper sauce that’ll put hair on your chest. With the recent addition of a tap room in the old filling station building next door, no one ever really needs to eat anywhere else.
