Bob Schneider

Sort of Austin’s answer to Dave Matthews Band, Bob Schneider gets listed under “adult contemporary” a lot of places even though he sort of raps and occasionally utilizes electronic beats in his music. But, I guess since he’s mostly acoustic guitar based, his shit falls under that genre? Is adult contemporary just like new music with old sounds? Anyway, Bob Schneider makes acoustic based songs with electronic beats and noises in the background, up-tempo Latin songs, straightforward pop songs with non-straightforward lyrics, and other types of cross-genre music. If you’ve never seen him live, he’s definitely worth checking out.
