JFK wanted to send a man to the moon. Obama wants to send a man to the women's restroom. We must get our country back on track. #tcot— Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) May 17, 2016
Abbott was responding to a move by President Barack Obama's administration that provided guidance to school districts concerning transgender students and how Title IX protects those students.
The administration told schools that transgender students had a right to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity, and stopping them from doing so could result in funding losses.
Not to be outdone, some of Abbott's Twitter followers chimed in with their support.
Not even if they are the same sex! No one! Ever!
