About the Author: Dr. Nancy Ramos-Machail attended Rice University, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She holds a Doctor of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master in Bilingual-Bicultural Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. She has 30 years of experience in the field of education, having held positions as a bilingual teacher, adult ESL educator, curriculum writer, researcher and university professor. She resides in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, Allan Machail and son, Alexander. About the Illustrator: Brooke Pacheco was born in San Antonio, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Design from Texas State University at San Marcos, in 2006. Pacheco works in various medium including pencil, pen, ink, acrylics and Illustrator InDesign and Photoshop. She currently resides in San Antonio, Texas, where her husband and son offer inspiration and encouragement. This is her first children’s book.
