The hugely popular podcast "Serial" may be taking up the case of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, though producers wouldn't come right out and confirm it

Bergdahl, who went missing in Afghanistan in 2009 and was captured by the Taliban, is the subject of a preliminary hearing in San Antonio to see if he should be court-martialed. He's accused of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

From the New York Times report:

A spokesman for “Serial” would not confirm that a topic has been chosen, saying only, “Over the last few months they’ve been reporting on a variety of stories for both Seasons 2 and 3 of ‘Serial,’ along with other podcast projects.”

For San Antonio's "Serial" fans, this one will hit close to home and if it's true, probably enthrall listeners just as much as the last season did.
