A San Antonio mainstay for over two decades. Plus: several local paranormal investigators have stated that the Grayson Street location is actually haunted, making this the perfect place to test one’s moxie.

Boasting 23 terrifying rooms, this haunted attraction has received awards for its extreme brand of spine-tingling frights. It also hosts real-life haunts according to Eddie Hill of After Dark Paranormal, who told me that while conducting an investigation there he recorded several creepy EVPs (technical lingo for disembodied voices).

The new kids on the block as far as spook houses go, 13th Floor offers the kind of scares that are typically associated with some of the top haunted attractions around the country. A disclaimer on the website cautions that it might be too intense for children under the age of 12.

If it’s a more family-friendly spot you seek, this haunted house provides scary fun at a decent price. One local ghost hunter told me that the location has a history of intense paranormal activity, adding to its intrigue.
