Chucho Valdes and Jazz Bata
Hailing from Havana, Cuba, jazz pianist Chucho Valdes and his trio Jazz Bata return to the Alamo City courtesy of Arts San Antonio. Co-founder of the fusion-minded band Irakere (which combines elements of Afro-Cuban ritual music, pop, jazz and rock), Valdez has earned six Grammys and three Latin Grammys over the course of a career spanning more than 50 years.
