Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Bonita

Come celebrate a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Bonita, in honor of Maria L. de Hernández (1896-1986), Mexican American Rights Activist and Educator. Dr. Mary Galindo, President of the Texas Archaeological Society, will speak about her grandmother Ms. de Hernandez, her life and political activism. Guests include the OLLUtlan Mariachis from OLLU, Xavier Garza, Author and Artist, Los Inocentes, Conjunto Heritage Taller and Paloma Arrellano, a winner from the 20th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza Competition. A reception will be hosted by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Join this celebration of family, community, tradition and dignity for all!
