If you've been out at Loop 410 and U.S. Hwy. 90 on the Far West Side of town, you've noticed that bridges are being added and have really been messing up traffic. Well, for this weekend and next, it's going to get even worse.
Workers will set steel beams in place that requires pretty much all of the interchange to be closed beginning 8 pm on Friday until 5 am on Monday. While it may not interfere for those with a weekday 9-5 schedule, you may need to work your weekend plans around the closures.
Josh Donat, a spokesman for TxDOT, told mySA.com that it's one of the biggest closure in the past few years. He recommends staying clear of the area or using an app to navigate your drive.
All lanes and frontage roads of U.S. Hwy. 90 at Loop 410 will be closed this weekend, while the same will happen for Loop 410 roads at U.S. Hwy. 90 next weekend. Sound confusing? You're not alone. Hopefully this video can help explain how all the detours are going to work.
Even without these weekend closures, U.S. Hwy. 90 will see closures every night from November 13-22 and again from 27-30. The same will happen on Loop 410 between November 29 and December 22.
