Danish String Quartet
Formed by three Danes and one Norwegian, the members of the Danish String Quartet are violist Asbjørn Nørgaard, violinists Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen and Frederik Øland, and cellist Fredrik Schøyen Sjölin. For their San Antonio Chamber Music Society concert on October 23rd at Temple Beth-El, the group will perform “Swans Kissing” (Rolf Wallin), Quartet No. 15 (Dmitri Shostakovich), and Folk music from the Nordic countries arranged by the quartet.
